Sweden Rock Spirits

Feel the Beet, a brand new type of rum-inspired liqueur shot that Sweden Rock is releasing in collaboration with Skånska Spritfabriken. The liqueur is based on Skåne agriculture rather than Caribbean plantations. It's all about sugar beets, grown in the heart of Skåne. With an alcohol content of 32%, Feel the Beet is somewhere between a liqueur and a shot. The natural taste is gently refined with Skåne caramelized sugar and subtle flavour carriers of Buttery Toffee and Smooth Vanilla. Drink it as a straight shot or combine it with things you already have in your fridge or liquor cabinet. Try it as a variation of a hotshot - with coffee and whipped cream.

The alcohol content is 46% by volume and the noble drink is aged on both Bourbon and Oloroso barrels. The edition is limited to 4000 bottles.

As the whisky is completely unsmoked, it has a milder aroma than many may associate with a more traditional Single Malt. The aroma contains citrus and pear notes, topped with slightly sweeter elements of light chocolate and raisins. The taste is soft and multifaceted and despite its smoothness there is a complex depth. Balanced and flavorful notes of pear, vanilla, light chocolate and dried fruit, among others. The aftertaste is pleasant with a mild sweetness that lingers.

Since many people nowadays choose a high-quality dark rum as a avec instead of more traditional choices such as whisky or cognac, the process of developing Sweden Rock Spirits Premium Dark Rum has been characterized by high-level quality thinking.

The result is an exclusive and well-balanced blend of different rum varieties from the Dominican Republic, ranging from completely unaged varieties to a real taste explosion that has been matured in barrels for a full 15 years. The unique blend produces a rich and generous aroma with notes of vanilla, crunch and dried tropical fruit.

Just like the highly appreciated whisky of 2022, this year's variant is also made by innovative Agitator Whiskymakers in Arboga. This year, however, we wanted to do something out of the ordinary, so this whisky has been aged for over three years in red wine barrels, bourbon barrels and in barrels that previously stored white port wine. Together, this barrel combination offers fruity notes, vanilla and a lovely deeper sweetness.

Instead of a traditional single malt, we have chosen to use malt from the four grains wheat, rye, barley and oats, which gives the taste a fun twist and results in a whisky that is unique in its kind.
