The Gathering

Since their inception in 1989, Dutch band The Gathering has explored a variety of sounds, from death/doom to alternative rock. However, their most successful period was in the mid-1990s, when they released the groundbreaking goth metal albums Mandylion (1995) and Nighttime Birds (1997). Van Giersbergen left the band in 2007, but in December 2024 it was announced that she and The Gathering had reunited for selected concerts to mark the 30th anniversary of "Mandylion." And here we are now. As you can see, we couldn't have chosen a better time for The Gathering's debut at Sweden Rock.
