The Swedish Transport Agency has decided on a temporary ban on aviation in Norje during Sweden Rock Festival. The ban is valid from 12.00 on June 4, 2025 until 01.59 on June 8, 2025.
To ensure order and safety for visitors and to ensure the police's ability to monitor the event with their own drones and helicopters, there is a no-fly zone over Sweden Rock Festival 2025.
The Swedish Transport Agency has, upon application from the Swedish Police Authority, decided on a ban on aviation (temporary restriction area) in Norje during the Sweden Rock Festival for the period of 2025-06-04 at 12:00 to 2025-06-08 at 01:59 (UTC 2025-06-04 at 10:00 to UTC 2025-06-07 at 23:59.)
The area has the shape of a circle with center 560700N 0144046E. Radius 1 NM. The altitude of the area is from the ground up to 1,500 feet above sea level (AMSL).
The restrictions apply to all aircraft including RPAS/UAS, paragliders and model aircraft. However, the decision allows some exceptions, for example for police flights, ambulance flights, coastguard and scheduled flights to/from Ronneby Airport.
Violation of the flight ban can result in a fine. In connection with drone flights, other offenses may also be relevant, such as causing danger to others, recklessness in air traffic and drunk flying.
