Sweden Rock Kollo

Five days of camp life with spotlight on rock- and metalmusic. This is the camp for all rockloving girls, both cis and trans, aged 14-17. Together with Studiefrämjandet Musik, this is our way of creating more opportunities for young girls to take their place on the hard rock scenes of the future.

Music in the spotlight

Sweden Rock Kollo is located at the historic Hällevik camp in the municipality of Sölvesborg - a place where you can live, learn and breathe rockmusic for five days together with others who are passionate about the same thing.

The camp has several fully equipped rehearsal rooms where you can play together, write songs and develop as a band. The camp offers time for sun, swimming and wonderful camp life. The camp is led by young women who play in bands themselves and know exactly what it's like to take your place in the rock world. As a conclusion, there will of course be a visit behind the scenes at Sweden Rock Festival!

The scenes of the future

Hard rock is one of the most male-dominated genres in the music industry. Sweden Rock Festival is working to give more girls a natural place on the festival stage for new bands. That's why we started Sweden Rock Kollo in 2018 together with Studiefrämjandet Musik. Our initiative to bring about a change, to encourage young girls to play hard rock and take their place on the future hard rock scenes around the world.

Young people perform with songs and instruments in a small room labeled "Speldosan", the audience's hands are visible in the foreground.
