Following two highly acclaimed releases, the tradition continues with this year’s eagerly awaited release: a nine-year-old smoky single malt, first aged for seven years in bourbon casks and then finished for over two years in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The result is a powerful and distinctive whisky with deep complexity and a clear identity. The edition is limited to 3,600 bottles and launches today, March 25.
Since its launch in 2015, the Sweden Rock Festival’s annual whiskey has become a must-have for many visitors and collectors. This year’s edition is the eleventh overall and the third in a row from High Coast Distillery.

Flavor profile – smoke, sweetness, and sherry in perfect balance
This year’s whisky is based on High Coast’s smoky recipe and is characterized by an elegant, clean, and distinct peat smoke. Seven years in bourbon casks have created a base of vanilla, oak, and caramelized notes, while the final maturation in Oloroso and PX casks has introduced richer layers of dark fruits, raisins, and dates, cocoa, smooth chocolate, as well as dried fruit and a soft sherry sweetness. The finish is long, rich, and carries both smoke and fruitiness in a harmonious conclusion.
