The Halo Effect

A supergroup with its roots in the famous ”Gothenburg sound”. The Halo Effect was formed in 2019 by members known from In Flames and Dark Tranquillity – two of the titans of melodic death metal. ”Days of the lost” (2021) became the first ever debut album by a metal band to go straight to #1 in Sweden. The follow-up ”March of the unheard” (2025) was another great success. In short, The Halo Effect is one of Sweden’s hottest metal bands at the moment, thanks to their ability to recreate the vibe from one of the golden eras of death metal in a fresh and exciting way.
