Savatage

How the SRF crowds have been longing! For many, many years. Swedish metalheads have hoped and begged that the storied Florida band Savatage would come to this country, and this festival. The band were pioneers of US power metal and prog metal, with groundbreaking albums like ”Sirens” (1983), ”Hall of the mountain king” (1987) and ”Streets – a rock opera” (1991). But their status and future have long been most uncertain. Thus Savatage’s return to the live scene in 2025 was an acclaimed sensation, and there is no doubt that their SRF premiere will be one of the highlights of 2026 for metalheads in Sweden.
