Helloween

Germany’s Helloween formed in 1984, becoming the ”godfathers” of power metal with albums like ”Keeper of the seven keys, parts I & II” (1987-88). Later, without losing their roots, they updated their sound on ”Master of the rings” (1994), ”Rabbit don’t come easy” (2003) and many more albums. Since 2016, fans don’t even have to choose between eras, for that year Helloween expanded into a supergroup with all their previous frontmen: Michael Kiske, Andi Deris and Kai Hansen (also guitar). The subsequent albums ”Helloween” (2021) and ”Giants & monsters” (2025) were indeed very successful, but it would still be as a live act present day Helloween have become the biggest sensation – not least in Sweden, where they have always ranked among the all-time metal greats.
