One of the "Big Three" of the Gothenburg sound, alongside At The Gates and In Flames. So we're talking melodic death metal, where Dark Tranquillity stand out with their somewhat Gothic atmosphere and characteristic electronic elements. The band also impress with their ability to remain ever-relevant - their last album "Endtime signals" (2024) can hold a candle even to such classic predecessors as "Skydancer" (1993) and "The gallery" (1995). Mikael Stanne (also in The Halo Effect and Cemetery Skyline) also remains as soulful a vocalist and commanding a frontman as ever.
