Germany's power metal giants have had a remarkable career trajectory from underground heroes to one of the very biggest names on the European metal scene. Their secret is the uniting of hard-hitting songs and increasingly epic arrangements. And lest we forget, Hansi Kürsch's universally praised vocals. The band's most recent, excellent album "The God machine" (2022) provides much of the savage power from super classic works like "Somewhere far beyond" (1992) and "Imaginations from the other side" (1995). In other words, this material is optimal for whipping Blind Guardian's live audience - one of the most devoted in all of metal - into a frenzy.
