Brutal music built around mind-bogglingly technical rhythms. This was the concept by which Sweden's Meshuggah redefined a whole metal generation. Albums like "Destroy erase improve" (1995) and "Chaosphere" (1998) are genre-defining classics, and the band continues to impress and fascinate with each new album, the ninth and most recent being "Immutable" (2022). And on stage, vocalist Jens Kidman, drummer and living legend Tomas Haake and the others form a compact sonic wall of heaviness and precision.
