Edguy
DEWelcome back! And, thank you and goodbye… Germany’s Edguy, led by a certain Tobias Sammet, were one of the spearheading leaders of the melodic metal renaissance, providing pure power metal magic on albums like ”Vain glory opera” (1998) and ”Hellfire Club” (2004). They went on hiatus in 2020, Sammet being busy with Avantasia. Now Edguy return to Sweden Rock for the first time since 2017 – and probably for the last time ever. There will surely be bliss and tears alike when ”Vain glory opera”, ”King of fools”, ”Tears of a mandrake” and the other classic make their final appearance on this festival of ours.
