Blue Oyster Cult
US”Cult band” doesn’t begin to describe it. New York’s Blue Öyster Cult quickly established themselves as one of the most unique hard rock bands of the 70s. Heavy riffs, boldly progressive song structures, innovative lyrics – naturally, that combination found a devoted audience, and songs like ”Cities on flame with rock and roll”, ”Godzilla”, and, of course, ”Don’t fear the reaper” became immortal classics. Even in the 2020s, Blue Öyster Cult have proved themselves with the lauded albums ”The symbol remains” (2020) and ”Ghost stories” (2024). Making the band, with singers/guitarists Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma at the helm, a certified and highly anticipated Sweden Rock-act.
