Studiefrämjandet offers a stage for new emerging talent at Sweden Rock Festival. Nemis, which stands for New Music in Sweden, is an obvious feature at many Swedish festivals. At the Sweden Rock Festival, the stage is the most long-lived of all.
The future of rock
This summer Nemis celebrates 20 years at Sweden Rock.
During these two decades, the Nemis scene has been a springboard for many bands and artists who have gone on to become big names, such as Browsing Collection, Sparzanza, Sonic Syndicate, Emma Varg, Corroded, VA Rocks, Frantic Amber and Maidavale.
An important part of Nemis is that half of the bands selected are female-dominated or fronted by a woman. It's a clear effort to encourage more young women to play hard rock - and to show that hard rock is for everyone, whether you want to be on stage or in the audience.
Together with Sweden Rock-kollo and Studiefrämjandet, we continue to send strong signals of inclusion and community in the world of hard rock.
Application form
To be eligible for the Nemis selection at Sweden Rock, the artist/band must not be signed to a major record label or booked by a major booking agency. More information about Nemis and how to apply can be found at the link.
