PISTONHEAD PRESENTS GLICKMAN/MARKS METAL ACADEMY
May 7, 2026
SCHOOL’S OUT?! The big news this year is that, in partnership with Pistonhead, you’ll be able to expand your horizons during the festival—yes, simply put, you’ll be able to brush up on your skills!
Once a day, a lecture is held under the auspices of the enigmatic Glickman/Marks, who in recent years have organized a couple of spectacular events across the country. They simply call this concept the Glickman/Marks Metal Academy, and the lecturers will be familiar faces to anyone who enjoys delving into trivia.
Now’s your chance to ace your rock history class so you can impress your friends at the next dinner party! The lectures will be held in our new beer tent, Puben. And all the times are now listed in the app’s schedule.

“A Tribute to Ace Frehley (1951–2025)”

Rare audio and rare visuals are promised. And riffs!

“Alice Cooper: The Story of a Bizarre Band”
Carl Linnaeus is one of Sweden’s most accomplished music journalists. In a unique lecture, he discusses the creation of the book “Alice Cooper: The Story of a Bizarre Band,” which GAFFA considers to “surpass many artist biographies,” and how Alice Cooper, with his eccentric image and timeless masterpieces like “School’s Out” and “Billion Dollar Babies,” managed to change the world of rock forever.
The author shares the results of his thorough research and the countless in-depth interviews he has conducted with Alice, the rest of the surviving original members, session musicians, producers, cover artists, and costume designers.
